MIRROR'S EDGE
Updated:
03/27/13 Fixed a bug / shadows on train and ending/ tweaked depth of crosshair
03/26/13 [Aniversary Patch lol]
Update log: Gun crosshairs now render in 3D, improved shadows, fixed remaining effects.
OPTIONAL Removal of Depth of field[Seperated from other Post Processing/Runner mode so no other effects are changed]
A year ago this was one of my first "real" patches and game needed an patch update desperately so I did. If you have any issues please list Chapter/Checkpoint so I can look at it.
Remaining Issues
Shadows may rarely have an issue.
Instructions
Install version 1.0.1
Turn OFF nvidia laser sight
Options->Game settings->Reticule->Weapon only
INSTALL TO ..\Mirror's Edge\Binaries\
Depth of field OFF version: DOFOFFshaderoverride.zip
Depth of field ON version: DOFONshaderoverride.zip
If Game Crashes on Launch
Right click on MirrorsEdge.exe . Click compatiblity tab.
Check run this program for compatibility mode: Windows XP (Service Pack 3)
If still crashes GO HERE
If You Experience Heavy Ghosting.
C:\Users\eqz\Documents\EA Games\Mirror's Edge\TdGame\Config\tdengine.ini
Change depthoffield=True
to
Depthoffield=false
This will disable all Post Processing[including depth of field] which will effectively remove the bright coloring at the cost of visual aesthetic but should make it playable.
Impressive great job!
ReplyDeleteThanks for leaving me positive feedback = )
DeleteIt keeps me motivated and doing these fixes.
Solved alot of issues for me.Only a small ammount of ghosting remains.Thank you!
ReplyDeletei'm excited to play this game once again after i saw how much changes were added by this fix,well done.1000 thanks.please dont stop what you're doing,3dvision users need u and ur hard work.nvidia is lazy and careless!
ReplyDeletethe reticle is not off. i set it off in option and is on still. even during intro movie? what the.... any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteNo idea. should be able to turn off in settings.
DeleteWait we are talking about in-game reticule not nvidia lasersight right?
DeleteThank you very much.
ReplyDeleteShadows out of place . I followed those instructions but the game seems bit off . So close to high convergence !
ReplyDeletehttp://www.3dvisionlive.com/ugc/16204/mirrors-edge-helix-mod-conversion
DeleteHigher then that?
If its shadows on characters. Its not installed right.
If its shadows on ground you need to reduce convergence.
I fixed the issue . I turned down the contrast 20% this pushed back the image I was seeing ! Looks great now . Only 2 issues remain now . When jumping on to a rope I grab it but then fall through it ! Another issue is opening doors . Punch through a door only to drop off the map on the other side lol . Found that one funny . This happens off and on .
DeleteFirst of all, thenk you so much for your work.
DeleteWithout people like you fixing things for others 3D Vision would be a joke.
There are so few games out there with an excellent rating it's embarassing. Who could even play one of those games rated "good" by nvidia? Either it works or it doesn't, and you can't play a game with broken shadows.
Anyway, thanks for fixing this!
Please keep your amazing work up :)
This is incredible. You will never know how appreciated you are.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
DeleteHave fun.
Fixed an issue, if you downloaded redl.

DeleteChange depthoffield=True
to
Depthoffield=false
Might sound like Im making it up but that will disable postprocessing. It hurts visuals but you will see.
